She made it, you too can!
Howdy….
I hope you are well. I am great. All is well, and I am excited about being on my final lap with my studies. As concerns my dissertation, I am done with my data collection, and soon, I will be writing about my recommendations and conclusion. If all goes well, which I hope it will, a time like this next month, I will be done with my one year course in the UK. I can’t wait to hit- SUBMIT! I hope you are happy and excited for me. So wish me luck.
Thank you for your kind feedback concerning the various links I posted last week on Chevening Scholarships. I am glad that you found them helpful. I am here to let you know that I will be available sometime in October 2020 just in case you might need some help. As for now, keep writing, rewriting and repackaging your story.
As you do so, allow me to introduce you to one of my mentees, whose journey is an interesting journey. Her name is Winnie Luvuno Tsuma. She’s a Lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya working for the County Government of Kilifi. Gather your notebook. With the same level of determination and zeal she put in, you too can make it. In her own words, she wrote….
“If you have ever applied for a scholarship and got rejected, I know you can attest to the emotional pain that follows immediately after that rejection email hits that inbox. And people are different; some are fighters. They apply immediately in the next cycle and the next until they make it. Some like me, decide to shelve that dream.
It took me six years to gain the courage of applying for the Chevening Scholarship one more time! And this time, I made it!!! Saying am excited, is an understatement. I can’t keep calm!!!!!! My dream has finally come true!!!! This is my Chevening story. I hope it will inspire you to chase after your dreams. Do let me know what you think! #ChosenForChevening “

Great! 6 years later is constant reminder that we can all be able to win it again, wonderfully to know that no matter how many time we fail, we can always arise
